Goofy gus...

Just us girls...
The little lush!
Up to something...but so darn cute!
Rockin out with the turkey baster! Go girl!
A little refreshment after all that excitement...

Social butterfly!

We were so excited to celebrate Kate & Kevin Murphy's pending baby arrival at her shower on Saturday! It was wonderful to see my college buddies again, I miss you all so much!!! And Katelyn was certainly in her element with all the people surrounding her, the yummy food, and of course the baby gifts (they went "green" and asked for un-wrapped gifts instead, which made that all the more enticing for curious Kate!). It took all of about 30 seconds for Katelyn to cuddle up to "aunt" (Dr.) Jilly and proceed to delve into her purse for goodies, and then she found the chocolate desserts and sat her little butt down to enjoy! So cute, and boy was she SO SLEEPY after all the socializing!! Good luck to Kate and Kev!

A family visit...

One of my favorite favorite recent pics of Katelyn. She looks so innocent doesn't she?!?!....she is and she isn't!

Peeking over at little sleepin' Evs during lunch last weekend...

The little man is looking so grown up these days, especially in his flannel and jeans! Good ol' country boy already! Katelyn couldn't get enough of him, but was well behaved and too busy off on her own to try to pick on him too much. Not sure what she was eating here, quite possibly a chocolate cookie...a girl after her mama's heart!

We stopped at the park to play a bit, and Kate loved the big kids' slides and tunnels...

And c'mon, this hair is just not fair for the poor child! However, to my defense, this is post-ripping-out-pigtail-on-only-one-side look, so she does it to herself!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our little family got to spend an entire day together, nice and relaxing, for a change on Valentine's Day. It was a murky day outside, so we were pretty lazy - it was so nice! Here, Kate enjoys her V-Day treats (a new homemade scarf from Mommy, her first big girl plate to contain those oh-so-messy meals, and a some foam hearts in a little basket to collect, sort, organize, and well, eat.) Those have since been discarded as she was "tasting" them every time she played! Kate was also multi-tasking with her phone at her ear and her remote in her other hand (middle); and she makes it very clear she's "ALL DONE!!!" after playing in her toy box.

Catching up...

Sorry it's been a little while, things are busy here in Towson. Here's a few random shots of the little one rambling around.

will you get a load of this hair!?!?

kate enjoys playing with mommy's hair as we rock before bedtime; for daddy, it's his smooth face that wins her over!

she might as well be a teenager loungin' around watching her cartoons! this pose is typical post-nap or morning-wake-up ritual...she sleeps so hard, it takes a little while for kate to come to life, but then - watch out!

Familiar pose, eh?
*This is funny because we noticed the poor teddy tossed aside in the corner ("Kate's corner") while we were watching TV after Kate went to bed. Then we did our bedtime check on her, and there she was!

Our lil' cuddle-umpkins...

Sleepy-time at the Judy household...

My favorite picture of these two...how sweet!

Sweeeeet 'do, little monster!

Our little dancing queen...

This little ditty started way before the camera came out (isn't that always how it goes) and long after. She's crazy!

Look out Towson, here comes Kate!

Last weekend we took Kate to a Towson basketball game, and it happened to be Mascot Mania day or something like that, so Daddy and Kate got a picture with their favorite bird (Kate looked a tad unsure about this character, but she wasn't scared, just curious!).

Understandably, it's quite hard for a toddler to sit still throughout an entire basketball game, but she's very content to sit in the aisle and either climb the stairs up and down (and up and down...) or play with ticket stubs and watch the cheerleaders and band.

It's also helpful that Towson is no UNC, so there's always plenty of room to let her run free every now and then!

And for those of you who might remember the pictures from the dining hall last summer with Katelyn and her "boyfriend" Tripp, here's the grown-up version of this pair (he's now 2) having snack-time together!

Bag lady...

Kate is in a stage where she (still) loves to collect things, but it's taken a new twist, because she now loves to carry bags/purses around and collect items in these bags instead. And for the record, emptying these same bags is also quite the enjoyable activity! Above, she carries our "green" grocery bags around after a shopping trip, takes her own baby for a little shopping trip in the stroller (with her purse of course!) and up top is one of the cutest recent pictures of her, with her bag, just stopping to think for a minute.

She's growing up so fast already, and though we knew it would happen, it seems to be flying by faster now that we're sleeping through the night so easily, daycare is steady and no longer a cry-fest when we drop her off, and hearing her try new "words" every day, it's all very awesome and fun. She turned 15 months on Saturday, and weighed in at 24 lbs. at the doctor on Monday! We've come a long way from the 8 lb. baby pile we used to have this time last year! As I hear the grown-up version of my little girl in the other room bouncing in her crib as she settles into her afternoon nap, I realize how much I can't wait for her to wake up again! We love this little person so much!! ...ah, Valentine's Day must be coming, I got a little sappy there :o)
