Happy Thanksgiving!

Kate got some more big-sister practice with her cousin Ryan...

Those Judy boys sure love their flannel!
Mom-Mom and her little Disney rugrats!
The big Thanksgiving weekend project was a new shed in our backyard. We had some major help from our dads, and the boys spent most of the weekend outside. It's not quite finished, but it's almost there!
The "girly" project indoors was getting Kate's big-girl room finished. We succeeded, and she decided she was ready to sleep there on Friday night, so we went with it (*tear*) and she's done great! She's fallen out twice so far, but it hasn't ruined her excitement, thankfully!

Another taste of 3-year old madness...

Nana & Papou - a dynamic decor duo!

We decided it was time to get the playroom under control this weekend, but we needed help from my worthy parents once again. They did a superb border job for us, and the room turned out pretty awesome! I also must add that with a lot of diligent searching, we were able to find the entire border for $1.00!!! Woo Hoo Baby Depot clearance section!!

We also made a typical run to Red Robin for lunch with our border team, where Kate helped Mommy enjoy her birthday sundae (yes, I'm still celebrating! That's what birthdays - and birthday coupons - are for!!), which ended up on her forehead - see video ...

Story time at the library...

We went to the library last weekend to hear Morning Melodies, which is stories/songs by parents of one of Kate's classmates Calvin. Kate loves them because they visit her class often, so she's very familiar with them and their songs. She was so cute dancing to everything, and really enjoying it, unlike past years where she could've cared less that she was at story time at a bookstore or whatever.
Here's Kate and Calvin enjoying some Hanukkah books together!
Daddy helped Kate pick out her first library book!

Happy 30th Mommy!

I'm 30, and 26 weeks pregnant...and I didn't even get to eat my entire cup of ice cream! But it was a fun day that started with Katelyn spontaneously telling me Happy Birthday all on her own, and little Leah singing me a short version of the bday song on the phone!

Fun times...

Have we mentioned how awesome it is that Jared and Gina have moved back to the East Coast, so our kiddos can grow up together? Well, I'm saying it again. With the decibel levels at all-time highs whenever we visit (from the girls, not Isaac of course), it makes us all smile to hear them romping around together!

24 weeks...and growing!

More birthday week fun...

Kate spent the morning with her cousin Leah before her annual pancake breakfast. Aren't they so cute and snuggly?
Jesse and I spent many long nights last week leading up to Kate's birthday, painting Kate's new "big-girl" room. She'll move over, and her nursery will be baby's room in a few months. We buckled and went with pink, but she sure does love it! Can't wait to decorate some more!
She couldn't resist putting her own touch on her new room, so we let her help us paint...inside the closet.

Happy Birthday Kate!

Kate's 3rd birthday was FILLED with family, friends, presents and cake! She was so excited about everything leading up to, and during, her birthday. Thank you *so much* to everyone who helped us pull off a fun-filled, exhausting weekend for her! I think we've finally recovered!

Happy Halloween!

After Kate's birthday party, we had to get all the kids all decked out in the Halloween costumes a day early, even if just for amusement purposes! Here is Leah as a ladybug, Isaac as the cutest squirrel EVER, Ev as a pirate, and Kate as Boo from Monsters, Inc...
The next day, we got our own little trio ready to trick or treat around our neighborhood. With Kate as Boo from Monsters, Inc, we felt we needed to complete the movie character lineup, with me/baby as Mike Wazowski, and Jess as Sully (he does have little homemade "horns" on his hat)... It was quite fun for us, but only a couple of people actually knew who we were as we stood on their porch!
Kate had such a fun time walking around with us and getting candy. Just like last year, she would say "Can we go to the next house?" while we were still chatting with neighbors at their door, and like a good girl she said "Trick or treatin'" when they opened their doors for her, and "thank you, happy halloween" when they gave her a treat. It was quite an enjoyable evening... until we got home. Kate was so happy to answer the door to other trick or treaters, giving them specifically chosen candy, and placing it delicately into their bags. Then, just before bedtime, some knucklehead kid had to come by in his Scream mask, complete with fake blood running down his face! She was terrified! She kept talking about the "sad guy" and asked if he was coming back, and then proceeded to wake up at 5:15 the next morning STILL asking about him... Ugh. Stupid kids!
And here Kate plays with her new birthday present, her very own digital camera, while enjoying her one treat for the occassion.

Get down girl!

Finally, the caterpillar video...
