Before we were four...

With the pending arrival of our little guy, here are some catch-up pics from February.
Kate helps Daddy open some birthday presents at the beginning of the month...

Then, on Super Bowl Sunday, we spent pre-game with Kate's buddy Brenley and her family at their house. The little princesses had a ball playing together (I think it's funny that Brenley is wearing her swimsuit here, and Kate, a turtleneck!) and playing on her parents' iPad - which they were awesome at using somehow...
Some Daddy cuddles for his "baby" girl...
On her last weekend as an only child, we did various random things with Kate. While out shopping, we let her romp around in this one store that has this big box full of books you can climb into and around.
Then we hit a local park for a bike ride around the snow...
And taking advantage of some of the milder weather we were having, we hung out outside blowing bubbles for awhile. She was so excited to be outdoors for a change and her excitement got the best of her (see video below!)...

This video seems pretty boring upon first glance. I encourage you to give it a few seconds, and then...well, the best I can come up with is she is basically saying "I'm crazy, and I'm going to be a big sister on Tuesday!"

Busy weekend!

Last weekend was pretty busy for all of us. While Jesse spent too much time working, Kate and Mommy had quite a bit of quality time together. We kicked off the weekend taking off from school/work to hang with Nana Fo, Aunt Fopper, and baby Ella. We spun through the mall, with Kate doing a good job pushing the stroller, then hit the indoor playground so Kate could romp and Ella could eat. Yes, they're wearing matching outfits!

On Saturday, we finally satisfied Kate's yearning to go ice skating! Unfortunately, it was Daddy's first time as well, and though Mommy really really wanted to do it too, it seemed safer not to risk falling on my big baby bump right now, so I watched from the stands with amusement! They were both okay, when Kate wasn't simply hanging from Daddy's arm. Apparently, other local places have walkers and things that amateurs/kids can push along in front of them - not sure if that would have helped our little one, but it sure was tiresome for Jess!
And to round it out, we met up with best bud Brenley and her parents on Sunday afternoon at the big hill down the street for some hard-core sledding! Kate was more into it than ever, giggling nonstop, running down the hill when Brenley went by herself, then carrying the sled up the hill all by herself when it was her turn - seems to me it's a lot more fun with a buddy than just boring ol' Mom and Dad! It was so fun to watch them together, and we were there for 3 hours!
