Vacation!

So June 13th finally arrived, and our little family joined the bigger Judy family (Jesse's parents, 3 brothers, their wives, and Kate's 2 cousins) near the Poconos in PA for a weeklong vacation retreat. We rented a big house and hunkered down, as it was, to basically hibernate during the wet, cold weather we had all week. We took advantage of whatever time outside that we could, but much of Katelyn's time was spent guarding her toys and belongings from the crawling babies! They just wanted to play with her, but she's not quite old enough to understand that she was the little baby wanting to play just a few short months ago, and we got our first glance of the "No, no, no! Mine!" stage that I'm already not so fond of at all! Leah and Evan were good sports, and it sure provided some entertainment!
Kate shared her bath-times with her cousins throughout the week too, and Leah was such a funny bath buddy, scooting into Kate's "personal space" so often that she almost got sat on one time!

Katelyn did get some alone time to play on the swings and in the sand during a day at Hickory Run State Park...
And one of the coolest things we saw while we were up there, was Boulder Field within Hickory Run State Park, which is, literally a field full of boulders/rocks. They believe it was once one big rock that was broken down by glaciers over time. It was pretty awesome to venture across it.

This was Kate's first kite-flying experience...
And thanks to Grandmom, the kids had matching outfits and looked adorable wearing them. This is one shot out of MANY attempts at getting them to "sit still for the picture!" but what did we expect!
Miss Leah...
Mr. Ev...
Kate and Evan, looking a bit startled...

Here's the first of several reading sessions that took place last week with Katelyn, who loves her picture books. And, she's either getting better and better at talking and saying the words that go with the pictures, or she's simply memorizing the ones we've read millions of times!

A rare quiet moment to herself watching cartoons one morning...
And Grandmom Judy absolutely loving life with her three little munchkins all around! Thanks for all your help last week!
