And my blog is now titled: Where the F has time gone?!?
[pardon my suggested language]
The day has finally come folks, and our "little" baby-makes-3 Katelyn Grace is officially a Kindergartener. She showed no signs of hesitation or worry, only a strong case of the nervous giggles that morning as we waited for a school bus...that never came. That's right, momma got all emotionally prepped for tear-fest down the street, all the neighbor girls were outside waiting with their friend Kate (this was probably Kate's favorite part, everyone waiting to see her get on the bus) for oh, 45 minutes, in the rain, until we all called it quits, and I loaded the kiddos back into the car for a mommy drop-off. With little explanation at the office, I sent her down the hall with the classroom assistant and a hug, and my heart was full. She gave me a wave and a "love ya momma" and I knew she was gonna be fine. That's how this girl has always been. So open to new experiences and eager to learn. As her first couple days were half-days, on Friday I told her I was excited to hear how her first full day went. Her reply was "I'M excited to LEARN for a whole day!" -- really?!?! Kids aren't supposed to say that right? But she's my awesome mini-nerd and I couldn't have felt more proud of her!
